Selected Ambient Portraits 2018 - 25

Selected Ambient Portraits 2018–25 is an in-progress artist book presenting a curated selection of Marley Starskey Butler’s photographic work from this period. All photographs were made individually, outside the notion of creating a body of work. No other photographic work of this nature will be made until this work is edited and released in book form. On reflection, this work has as much to do with Marley’s experience as a social worker as any projects that speak to this directly. Though once complete, it may reveal why this work was made over seven years, alongside and in parallel to other works made during that period.
